Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026

This policy describes how indefinido trade s.r.o. handles personal information in connection with the website at faintnode.online. It is written as a walkthrough of the Australian Privacy Principles, one section per principle, so that you can see what each principle means here rather than in the abstract.

Framework

Personal information in connection with this website is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes in full at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles.

Scope

This policy covers the website at faintnode.online and the email address published on it. It does not cover any other website. In particular, it does not cover the destination of the affiliate link published on this site, https://price-low.eu/a/lYrW4czrRqcYw2r, nor the government websites linked from the course, nor any game publisher's site. Each of those has its own policy, and once you follow a link you are reading someone else's.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

This page is the whole of our published practice. It is reachable from the footer of every page on the site, costs nothing to read, and needs no account. We keep handling deliberately minimal so that the description stays short and verifiable: the site runs as static files, with no database, no content management system and no third-party service embedded in it. If anything in this policy is unclear, write to info@faintnode.online and we will explain or correct it.

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this site without identifying yourself. Nothing asks for your name and there is nowhere to enter it. If you write to us, you may use a pseudonymous address and we will reply to it. The one exception is a request for access to or correction of personal information: to answer that we need to be able to connect the request to the information in question, which in practice means writing from the address the information concerns.

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories, and no others.

(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs. Each entry can contain your IP address, the date and time of the request, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your browser's user-agent string.

(b) Email you send us. If you write to info@faintnode.online, we hold your email address, any name you choose to give, the content of your message and any attachment.

(c) Nothing else is collected. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no sign-up, no account, no login, no quiz, no progress tracking and no comment facility anywhere on this site. We set no cookies, use no analytics, load no web fonts, run no advertising tags, build no profiles and do no cross-site tracking. The site requests nothing from any other server: every page, style and script is served from faintnode.online itself.

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Occasionally an email arrives containing information we did not ask for and do not need in order to reply — details about a third party, for instance, or an attachment unrelated to the question. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, we delete that information rather than keep it.

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This section is that notification, and the sections above and below are its content: who we are, what the two categories are, why each exists, who else sees it, where it may be stored, how long it is kept, and how to reach us. There is no separate notice shown at the point of collection, because neither category involves a moment of collection you could be shown a notice at — logs are created by the act of requesting a page, and an email is written by you in your own mail program.

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Each category is used for its own purpose and nothing else.

Access logs are used to keep the site available and secure, to identify and block abuse, and to diagnose faults. They are not analysed to study readers, not used to build audience statistics, and not combined with anything.

Email is used to read and answer your message, and to keep a record of the exchange.

Personal information is never sold, rented, traded or shared for anyone's marketing, including our own. It is disclosed outside indefinido trade s.r.o. only to the two service providers named under recipients below, and to a court, regulator or law enforcement body where the law requires it.

APP 7 — Direct marketing

We do none. There is no mailing list, no newsletter, no promotional email, no course reminder and no re-engagement message. Your address is not added to anything when you write to us, and there is nothing to unsubscribe from.

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two recipients handle information on our behalf: our hosting provider, which holds the access logs, and our email service provider, which holds the mailbox. Both may store or process data outside Australia, and their locations may be outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take the steps reasonably available to us to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, principally by keeping the quantity of information to the minimum the service needs to function.

APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers

This principle has no application here. No government related identifier is adopted as our own identifier of any individual, used, or disclosed. We hold none and ask for none.

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

The two categories we hold are either generated automatically by a web server or written by you, so there is little scope for us to introduce an error. If you believe something we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, write to us and we will correct it.

APP 11 — Security of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted in transit. There is no database, no stored form submission and no user account, which means there is no store of reader information to protect in the first place. The hosting account and the mailbox are reachable only by people working for indefinido trade s.r.o., using individual credentials. We make no claim to any certification, audit or standard, because we hold none.

Retention is handled as a security measure as much as a legal one, and is set out per category:

  • Server access logs: 30 days, after which they are deleted or overwritten by our hosting provider in the ordinary course.
  • Email: 24 months after the last message in the conversation, unless the correspondence is needed in connection with a legal claim, in which case it is kept until that matter ends.

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You can ask what we hold about you. Write to info@faintnode.online with Privacy request in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. We reply within 30 days. In practice the honest answer is usually short: an email exchange if you have written to us, and possibly a log entry if you happen to know the IP address and date to look for, since logs are not indexed by person.

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

You can ask us to correct anything we hold about you, by the same route and with the same subject line. There is no charge, and we reply within 30 days. If we decline a correction we will say why in writing and note your view alongside the information.

Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one

This site publishes a paid affiliate link, explained in full on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Following it takes you off faintnode.online. From that moment, World of Tanks and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains to record that the visit came from us, under their own privacy policies and not under this one.

indefinido trade s.r.o. receives commission reports from the network. Those reports are used only to reconcile payments. We do not seek, and have no interest in, information that identifies individual readers, and we do not attempt to match anything in a report to anything in our logs.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled personal information, write to info@faintnode.online first, with Privacy complaint in the subject line. We will acknowledge it and answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to, unauthorised disclosure of, or loss of personal information we hold, we assess it promptly. Where the assessment concludes that serious harm to any affected person is likely, we notify those people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Children

This site is not directed at people under 16. It collects nothing that would identify a reader of any age, and we neither ask for nor hold information about a reader's age.

Readers in the EU, the EEA and the UK

indefinido trade s.r.o. is established in Czechia, so the following applies in addition to the above where the General Data Protection Regulation or the UK equivalent is engaged.

The legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interest in the security, availability and correct functioning of the site. The legal basis for handling an email is the steps necessary to respond to the enquiry you have chosen to send us. There is no consent-based processing, because there are no cookies, no analytics and no tracking of any kind to consent to.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in respect of information we hold about you. Exercise any of them by writing to info@faintnode.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), uoou.gov.cz, Pplk. Sochora 727/27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic.

Changes to this policy

When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change is material, a short note describing it is shown at the top of this page for 30 days after the revision. Older versions are not published, so if you want a record of the version you read, save a copy.
